Share Your Ideas with Vox Republica

Whether you wish to contribute an opinion piece, research article, policy analysis, commentary, or book review, we invite you to submit your work for editorial consideration.

Submission Guidelines

VoxRepublica welcomes original, thoughtful writing on public affairs, governance, politics, law, economy, society, culture, cities, and the issues that shape our communities.

We value strong ideas, clear arguments, credible evidence, and diverse perspectives. We welcome disagreement and debate, provided they are expressed with reason, respect, and responsibility.

What We Publish

We accept:

  • Short Op-Eds: Up to 1,000 words
  • Long Op-Eds: Up to 2,000 words

A good opinion piece should have a clear argument, a compelling reason for publication, and evidence, examples, or analysis that supports the argument.

Before You Submit

Please ensure that:

  • The work is original and unpublished.
  • Facts, data, quotations, and sources are accurate and properly attributed.
  • Your argument is clearly presented and supported by credible evidence.
  • Political or institutional criticism remains focused on ideas, policies, actions, decisions, or institutions, rather than individuals or communities based on their identity.
  • Relevant conflicts of interest, affiliations, or other disclosures are mentioned where applicable.
  • Quotations, statistics, research, and other external material are appropriately credited.

Respectful and Inclusive Discourse

VoxRepublica welcomes strong opinions, disagreement, criticism, and competing perspectives.

However, criticism of an idea, policy, institution, government, or public figure must not become an attack on people or communities because of who they are.

We do not publish or permit content that promotes or encourages:

  • Hate or hostility towards any community, caste, religion, ethnicity, nationality, region, or social group.
  • Discrimination or dehumanisation of individuals or communities.
  • Threats, incitement to violence, or targeted harassment.
  • Content intended to provoke hatred against a particular community, section of society, or country.
  • Stereotyping or collective blame directed at people because of their identity or nationality.

Strong criticism is welcome. Hate is not.

These standards apply both to published submissions and to comments or discussions on the platform. Comments that violate these standards may be removed, and repeated violations may result in restrictions on participation.

Our Editorial Process

Every submission is subject to editorial review. We may:

  • Accept or decline a submission.
  • Request clarification, additional evidence, or revisions.
  • Edit for length, clarity, grammar, structure, and readability.
  • Fact-check claims where necessary.
  • Decline or remove content that does not meet our editorial standards.

Editorial changes will not intentionally alter the contributor’s central argument or meaning.

Submission does not guarantee publication.

Our Standard

Challenge ideas. Question power. Respect people.

VoxRepublica aims to provide a space for informed disagreement, independent thinking, diverse perspectives, and responsible public discourse.

We believe that a healthy public sphere requires the freedom to question ideas and institutions while maintaining respect for the people who hold different views.

We are interested in what you think — and why it matters.
